Rene Gergoire Bronze Sculptor

Gregoire was a famous French bronze sculpturist who worked in France in the 18th Century. He was born in Saumur in 1871 and received the Prix de Rome in 1899 which was followed by many other awards from the salon.

He is famous for his studies of the human form and made a wonderful casting of a pair of female torcheres not disimilar in style to the Statue Of Liberty in New York.
