Robert Adam - Adams Furniture and Chairs

Like if this guide is helpful
Inspired by the excavation at Pompeii and Herculaneum, neoclassicism had by the 1770s emerged to become the dominant architectural style in Europe. In Britain the foremost exponent of this style was Robert Adam who designed every element of his interiors, even handles and doorplates and other door hardware. His designs incoporating the restrained use of classical motifs such as anthemions, ram's heads and paterae, influenced both furniture designers and cabinet makers including Sheraton, Chippendale and Hepplewhite.Martin Worster
