TECHNIQUES USED TO DEFRAUD INNOCENT BUYERS.

When searching for antique clocks on ebay. I search worldwide and more often than not find fantastic clocks being sold from China or Asia . Most of these clocks are copies and some are cloned auctions for clocks that have already been sold through ebay for quite high prices.

We found one last night being sold by a seller with quite a few positive feedback ratings, all seemed well and above board until I double checked all his feedback. This scammer has spent the last 2 months in raising his feedback score by buying goods priced at 0.1p, usually e-books .So to any buyer at a glance looks like he is a credible seller.

He is now offering for sale an antique clock ( which is also being sold by at least 3 other Chinese sellers) at a buy it now price which is far less than the clock is worth. This scammer is playing on the fact that his feedack will not be read by a propective buyer.

Before you consider trading with anyone in china or Asia Please check and double check that the item and the seller are what you hope they are.If you find  ANYTHING you are concerned about do not touch it and report them to eBay.

Personally I am sick of reporting these scams to ebay only to find they reappear straight away as the auction is pulled.

Also Personally  I WOULD NOT TRADE WITH CHINA/INDIA/ASIA for antique clocks most of them are either scams or copies.

IF ANY ITEM SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT USUALLY IS SO KEEP YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY SAFE.
