Having recently spent hours searching through hundreds of pairs of Ladies Jeans with an inside leg measurement of 31" or more, I found that about 90% of sellers omit to give the inside leg measurement at all - either in the item specifics or in the description! This means that I have had to send dozens of questions, just to get the inside leg measurement - and even then some do not even bother to reply!
I know from personal experience how time consuming it is to write full descriptions for every item of clothing you wish to sell. But as long as you upload one or more good photos for each item, you then only really need to give the basic measurements. But if you fail to do that, you may fail to ever sell your item at all - especially if buyers only come across them hours (or even minutes) before the auction is due to end!
So if you wish to sell more items on their first listing FILL IN AS MANY ITEM SPECIFICS AS YOU CAN and/or ADD A SHORT DESCRIPTION, GIVING AT LEAST THE FOLLOWING MEASUREMENTS!!!
- Waist + inside leg measurements for trousers and jeans ie: Never just say regular or medium length etc, as these vary so much from manufacturer to manufacturer that they mean absolutely nothing to prospective buyers!
- bust + length for tops and dresses
Fibre content is often fairly important too - especially when it comes to trousers and jeans! So by remembering to STATE if a garment contains elastane or lycra for stretch, you will probably attract a lot more potential buyers - especially last minute ones!
