Why They're Better Than New ?

There has always been arguments about whether or not used genuine OEM car parts are better quality than aftermarket parts, and whether or not genuine manufactures parts are really better to use. For example ... replacement brakes can be done quickly, regardless of whether they are new or not, but they can cause safety problems if they are new. This is especially because they are typically made in China. Throughout this article, we will find out whether or not secondhand car parts are truly better than new parts.

Smaller Price Tag

It's no secret that buying used car parts come with a smaller price tag, but that's definitely not a reflection on the quality. Purchasing an aftermarket or new OEM part for your car will cost you through the roof, because of the fact that it's a new piece, while a used part will still bring the same quality to your car's table, but at a fraction of the cost. Sometimes even more than a fraction. Buying used parts when you're on a budget is the definite way to go, because you'll usually find the same part you need, used, at 50% off or more.

Start-Up Warranties

Even though the majority of sellers that deal in used car parts do not offer warranties, some do! This can turn people off of buying used car parts, but the reality is, all you have to do is ask. There are plenty of used parts sellers who offer a 1-2 month start-up warranty for their customers. Either that, or they will test them to let you know that they are fully functional. If not, they'll take a full refund. Keep in mind that all good sellers will offer either or.

Parts Are Ready to Use

Often when you visit a local scrap yard, part is not ready to be used right away as you need to remove it from a car yourself. This takes a lot of time and there's still no guarantee that it's going to work. In this case you need to go back to your salvage place return a part and many times get charged a 20% handling fee. Local scrap yard customer service is not particularly polite either and you won't get much help of them. This does not happen with Ebay parts sellers. All parts are removed from a car, tested and ready to use. Good Ebay sellers will jump at the chance to help their customer, which is always a great touch. Also due to new distance selling regulations no one can charge you a restocking fee anymore. You get your money back 100%.

You're Recycling!

Because you're not purchasing a new part, but purchasing an old one instead, you're helping the environment by recycling. By buying a used part from a seller, you're extending that part's life, and decreasing the amount of car parts that end up in a landfill.

In Conclusion..

In conclusion, the obvious choice here is that used car parts are much better when compared to new parts. Those who are looking for classic parts, a more affordable option, or are looking to find a recycled part that can be used time and time again, will surely benefit from using a used part instead of a new one.
Always think why for  car that is few years old or more would you be buying a part that is brand new? Second hand is good enough and will keep you on the road anyway. You car is not new not and You may be thinking of selling it. The money you spend on it will never come back into your pocket. Keep expenses low. I'll leave this choice to You ...
