Selling Laptop A cautionary tale

I recently purchased a superb 2nd hand laptop, there was nothing wrong with it except I could not access it as the previous owner had not cleaned the hard drive off all passwords and user login information. I knew how to overcome this problem and got logged in and was able to access this computers hard drive etc, it was full of private information from the previous owner! I had access to things I should not. This  sellers error could have cost them dearly, but as I am a nice person, I did not continue snooping, but gave the laptop a complete system recovery which clears all information and reinstalls system software. Point? Before selling on a laptop clear all personal data from hard drives and registries if you do not it could be very costly to you. If you have original recovery disc then do a system recovery, not a restore, a restore is not enough. Cautionary Tale
