Sennheiser Adidas PX685i
What do you get if you take acoustic masters Sennheiser, pair them up with sports giants Adidas and then ask their creative experts to make a range of sports headphones? Simply a set of pretty near perfect earphones.

The PMX685is are the fantastic follow up to the neckband-style PMX 680 in-ears. Like any second generation, they come with some very neat improvements. For a start, a slimmer frame and smaller remote control make them even lighter without any impact on durability. They’re still sweat and water-resistant with a well-protected para-aramid reinforced cable to buffer against wear and tear.

Admittedly having the remote built into the left side of the headphones does create a little bit of tug if you thread them underneath a t-shirt, but despite that the buds stay firmly put.

The sound isn’t quite as full as you might experience with some of the other headphones on test due to discernable lack of bass, but you could argue that’s actually desirable, making them safer to use for running or cycling outside. Allowing some of the surrounding noise in works as a happy safety feature.
