This is a quick step by step guide for anybody needing help with installing a CD player, please read the disclaimer before using.
PLEASE NOTE: this information is not an industry accepted method; these are my own personal fixes that i have determined through many years of handling Hi-Fi items. With the exception of any readers who have bought from my ebay shop Priceattackstorerun by the247enigma, bear in mind these hints may invalidate any warranties you may hold, but if they should I would recommend attaining a refund from your seller and shop elsewhere!
Please note, always allow 24hours for the CD player to acclimatize, because of the laser there is a reasonable chance condensation has developed during transit on its glass lens.
Connect the CD player to the amplifier; connect into the CD input, if this is not available use the ‘Aux’ or ‘DVD’ inputs.
If you should find the CD skipping check your disc condition and try another.
NOTE: on better branded CD players, sometimes the player will not play CDR or CDRW discs, if this is the case try an original and if it plays then the CD player is working fine and cannot be changed to accommodate for CDR’s.
Well I think that’s all the troubleshooting, i do not recommend opening an CD player to anyone, not only will this void your warranty and put your life in danger from electrocution, but in almost all cases THERE ARE NO USER SERVICABLE PARTS INSIDE! If the problem cannot be resolved above I would send it back to your seller, or if this is not possible have it repaired professionally or you may send it to ourselves for safe and proper disposal.
