Drinking the suggested eight glasses of water per day involves a lot of effort! It's not something that happens easily for me. I've learned to sneak my water in by using a few creative ideas. Here are some of the tricks I do to stay hydrated! For more tips on hydrating, visit my Tips to Stay Hydrated Collection.
Water can taste a little bland sometimes! To jazz up your water, grab a pretty glass decanter (with a fruit/herb diffuser) and add a few slices of citrus, cucumbers mint or herbs! Not only does it look pretty, it'll taste yummy too!
Get a Humidifier
Give your dry skin an extra boost and use a humidifier! These are great during the dry winter months or hot dry summers. Some humidifiers come with an option to add essential oils or perfume. Your skin will thank you!
Keep it At the Bedside
When water is within reach you're bound to sip on it. Keep a carafe like this one, bedside at all times. If you wake up thirsty you'll have it ready to go! 99% of the time, if we wake up thirsty we roll over and fall back asleep. Don't ignore your thirst! Your body is craving H2o for a reason!
Get it To Go
As we all know, we should be drinking water throughout the day! If you're on the go, make it easy for yourself and carry a water bottle. If you have a desk job, fill up at the water station or keep your own personalized jug in the company fridge. I like this bottle by S'well. It keeps liquid cold and hot for more than 12 hours!!
Hydrate Via Food
Keep a container of water rich foods in the fridge. Watermelon, celery, cucumbers and blueberries are made up of 95% water! They make a great afternoon snack too.
Drink More Tea
Get that tea kettle out and get to brewing. Drinking tea is a great way to sneak in your daily water intake. Try to keep the tea pure with no added sugars. This is a good habit to have in the morning and evenings before bedtime.
These mineral water facial sprays are perfect for rehydrating your skin. Keep one in your gym bag or at your desk for a quick refresh. For a super refreshing spray, keep one in the fridge for a cool spritz on hot day!
Grab a Filter
Water filters are great for the environment and are super convenient. If you're a cold water drinker, fill it up and stick it in the fridge. You'll have cold water on hand at all times. This soma filter is one of my favorites. It's sleek, stylish and makes my water taste better! Be sure to swap out your filters when needed.
