The New Sony Ericsson Elm is mad from recycled materials and I feel I am doing my bit.  However, this is not just an environmental friendly phone it is user friendly too.  I have tried the touch screen phone and to be honest great at first but the novelty soon wears off.  This phone is a candy bar so easy to use with one hand.  Not a slide where I have found that the keypad is not really big enough to text quickly.  If you like slide phone they have the Hazel same features but in a slide.  It has noise sheild so when you are in a noisy place the noise is filtered out so you don't need to shout.
This phone has wi-fi so I can log on to any free network and upload my emails, facebook, twitter etc. I have pay as you go and data transfer is expensive.  This way its free.  It has all the usual stuff you want on your phone and extra memory can be added for you photos.  The camera is 5mp camera which take good quality pictures. GPS is great and I use it with latitude googles gps service and have friends and family mapped.  It has lots more features which you can easily find out abou on the sony Ericsson website.

As usual you need to hunt around I  bought this phone via eBay as it is not yet released in the UK.  I searched as usual and many of the phone were unlock not sim free.  Whats the difference I hear you ask.  I am no expert but, experience has taught me that you cannot updaet an unlocked phone, if you do it relocks to the original settings.  The cheapest I found believe it or not was all the way from Germany including the international postage with DHL signed for.  They were cheaper than anyone in the UK and most importantly the phone had never been locked or branded.  I paid with current exchange rate inc. postage £165

I hope this helps!
