Sony PSP Japanese Versions.

I bought a Sony PSP in December 2005. In February 2006 it developed a fault and would not play games. I have now contacted Sony and they have informed me that the PSP that I bought via the internet was never intended for the UK or European market. As a result Sony will not repair this item under warranty. When I ordered the PSP I was not informed that it was for the Japanese market only and I have no compensation from the company that supplied it because they have vanished. Please make sure you ask the supplier if the model is genuinely for the UK market. TIP: If the item arrives with all Japanese instructions and paperwork, send it straight back and demand a refund as Sony will not maintain it.
