The TASCAM DR-07MKII is a very handy portable audio recorder, small and light. I use it to record DJ mixes straight from the mixer (line-in mini jack) at it's highest quality settings it makes rich and delicious recordings that surpass anything I have ever known before. It boast Peak Limiter Prevents Clipping, Overdub Recording, stereo reverb effect which is available during playback or recording, and another handy additions is a chromatic tuner. All this and it will run for around 17.5 hours on a fresh set of alkaline AAA batteries or 15.5 on Ni-MH rechargables, incidentally there is a setting for each battery type that will optimize the unit for peak power usage.
