SUPER DC. Top Sellers. 1 Jun 1969-14 Jul 1970
This was DC Comics late and short-lived attempt to do what Marvel had done so successfully throughout the 1960s and reprint classic Silver Age material. But it didn't last. High grade copies of all issues are tough to find. #1 had free gifts of a Batman poster, a Wristwatch Calendar and a Superman Magic Disc, all in a manilla envelope. Quite difficult to find all this intact and adds £30-£40 to the value.

These annuals, especially the early ones from the 50s, turn up on E Bay though mostly in lower grades. The first annual is genuinely hard to get, especially in high grade.

SUPERMAN DOUBLE DOUBLE COMICS. Thorpe & Porter. 1 1967-3 1968
These were bound -together remaindered copies of selected DC and Marvel comics with covers taken from original DC comics or sometimes new covers adapted from interior scenes. Very hard to find in Near Mint but often show up on E Bay in low and mid grade. Good reading value. To my knowledge there are 24 different Double Double Comics across a number of titles - Action, Adventure, Batman, Detective, Jimmy Olsen, Justice League, Lois Lane, Strange Adventures, Superboy and World's Finest. But I'm still looking!

THRILLER COMICS/THRILLER PICTURE LIBRARY. Amalgamated Press/Fleetway. 1 Nov 1951-450 May 1963
The early issues are the most collectible, up to about #50 or so. These all pretty much suffer from staple rust and many only have the one staple holding it all together. Ask the vendor how bad the rust is. It can be surface rust or practically disintegrating! Haven't seen what I would call a Very Fine #1 and definitely not seen a Near Mint #1.
