Before I start off with the guide on a religion that is known to be the oldest religions in the World and the concept of spirituality encompassed within it, I would like to quote Swami Vivekananda, the Indian Spiritual Leader who preached Modern Vedanta, “You have to grow from inside out. None can teach you, none can make spiritual. There is no teacher but your own soul.”
The Hindu synthesis started to develop after the Vedic times and prescribes eternal duties such as honesty, ahimsa or non-violence, patience, forbearance, self-restraint, compassion.  It outlines the goals or aims of human life namely-Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha, Karma, samsara and various types of Yogas. The major scriptures include The Vedas, The Upanishads, The Bhagvad Gita and The Agamas.
Our ancestors had worshiped nature initially but eventually with transformation and spread of knowledge and wisdom, idol worship became prevalent in Hinduism. Amongst mostly worshiped idols of the Supreme Power, we have:

1. Shiva Linga:

The Shiva Linga is the union of two parts, the lingum (the male reproductive part) and the yoni (the female reproductive part), being personified by Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti respectively. 2. Lord Ganesha:

Ganesha personifies knowledge and wisdom, the destroyer of all obstacles. His long ears signify that he hears everything his devotees say. Ganapati Upanishad says Lord Ganesha appeared even before the creation of nature and consciousness, Prakriti and Purusha in simplified terms.The yogic principle says that anything we do falls either under material or spiritual categories and Lord Ganesha is the ‘Muladhara Chakra’ of our body-the link between material and spiritual world. Lord Ganesha liberates us from the endless cycle of life and death and in order to complete the cycle without obstacles without any obstacles, we need Lord Ganesha’s blessings. In Kundalini Yoga, a Master awakens the Mother Kundalini to initiate a worthy discipline to undergo spiritual transformation and to experience complete realization by merging with Universal self. The spiritual journey begins at Muldhara Chakra ruled by Lord Ganesha.

3. Goddess Durga:

Embodiment of power and strength, Maa Durga is associated with destruction of evil powers overcoming negativity such as anger, greed, lust, ego and pride. Also known as Parvati, Goddess Durga is the Companion of Lord Shiva and is known to take different forms such as Kali, Chandi or Durga.  She is the power behind all creation, preservation and destruction of the Universe.Maa Durga is the most powerful ‘mother’ who protects, provides and punishes.

4. Lord Krishna

The personification of strength, beauty, knowledge and opulence, worshiping Lord Krishna is known to fetch you unconditional happiness and pleasure. There are multiple ‘upayas’ or remedies to our ‘fixed’ or ‘non-fixed’ karmas. These Upayas work by managing the astral influences in our own astral body. 5. Goddess Lakshmi:

The Hindu Goddess of wealth, fortune, love and beauty, Goddess Lakshmi is considered to be Chanchal; one who does not stay permanently at a place and is magical and practical. 6. Radha-Krishna:

7. Lord Hanuman:

8. Lord Shiva:
