History of Superman

Conceived on the imperiled planet of Krypton, Kal-El came from Krypton in a rocket launched toward Earth by his father, Jor-El. He landed in Smallville, Kansas, discovered by Martha and Jonathan Kent, who adopted the baby boy, instilling in him their deep morals and values. Named "Clark Kent," the boy who would become Superman went through his young years trying to gain control of his powers. On his 18th birthday, he left Smallville and traveled the world to harness the gifts of his powers. Upon completing his travels, he went to the University of Metropolis and earned a degree in journalism. He then began his career as a journalist for the Daily Planet while managing to hide his superhero identity. Superman protects planet Earth from evil nemeses, becoming more determined to keep his adopted planet safe after learning of destruction of his home planet of Krypton.

The only child of Dr. Thomas Wayne, M.D., and his wife, Martha, Bruce Wayne was born into this very wealthy family in Gotham City and lived with them until he was eight years of age. One day on the way home from a family outing at the cinema, his parents were murdered in front of Bruce’s eyes. This traumatized the young boy and, when he grew up, he vowed to use his inherited wealth to help him fight crime in Gotham City. He traveled the world to become the most skilled and feared vigilante and superhero of all time – Batman. Wayne, now a billionaire philanthropist, is the owner of Wayne Enterprises and the Wayne Foundation, among many other ventures. However, when duty calls, he becomes his alter ego, also known as The Dark Knight, climbs behind the heel of the Batmobile and patrols the city fighting against the crime that he vowed to eliminate.
