Exercise bands - otherwise known as Pilates bands, physio bands or training bands - are strips of strong, stretchy rubber. Simple and utterly affordable, these bands help you to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your body, so that you can create a system of exercise that's unique to you.

Maximising flexibility in the Achilles tendons has to be one of the greatest benefits of resistance band training. In addition, when these bands are used regularly, you'll gain extra strength and stability in the entire ankle area and a useful amount protection against knee problems.
