RAVPower 14000mAh
RAVPower 14000mAh
eBay loves: Massive capacity
Watch out for: Take a really long time to recharge
RRP: £30

The iPad Air has an 8000mAh battery, so to charge it completely when you’re out and about needs a portable battery with at least that capacity. We suggest the RAVPower 14000mAh External Battery Pack. It has enough power to charge a tablet and two USB ports for charging two devices at once. You can recharge the RAVPower via USB, but this will take a long time, so grab a mains adaptor to make the process less tedious.

Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover
Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover
eBay loves: Protects your iPad and gives you a proper keyboard
Watch out for: The keys are a bit cramped
RRP: £75
The iPad can replace your laptop for most tasks, but to do that you need to get a keyboard to make typing more responsive than on the screen. The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is available for all iPad models and we like it because it also adds some protection. The built-in battery lasts for a couple of months, too.

If you want to use the iPad for photo editing, you’ll need a way to get high quality images onto it. The Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter is a bit pricey, but if you need photos from a camera or other USB device it’s worth every penny.

Sony SRS-BTX500
Sony SRS-BTX500
eBay loves: Sound quality
Watch out for: Heavy
RRP: £180

Although the iPad’s built-in speaker isn’t bad, its sound hardly fills a room — and headphones aren’t an option if you’re watching a video with someone else. The solution is a wireless speaker and the Sony SRS-BTX500 is one of our favourites. It’s impressively loud and incredibly high quality, thanks to Sony’s magnetic fluid speakers that don’t distort at loud volumes. It’s pricey, but it has good battery life and amazing sound.
