The name  Timex will evoke a lot of childhood memories for many of us out there. A Timex watch, for many of us, was our first wristwatch, way back when we were kids. The brand quickly became a household name; one of those names that just fits perfectly into everyday life. For others it was a matter of workwear: worn by nurses across both World Wars, the first astronauts in space and used on sports fields in most countries across the world.

In fact, in 2016 Timex is still that household name and after a resurgence since 2014 we're seeing the company release new styles and exciting collections each and every season.

Timex Weekender

The  Weekender watch is one of the brand's most iconic designs. This design was taken from the company's archive and was re-released around five years ago. The design received much praise, and instantly became a hit. Simple, clean, clear and very affordable, the Weekender is the most versatile Timex style in the company's current collection. It comes in a range of different face sizes and features a NATO-style strap, so can be changed to  complement any outfit. The Weekender is also available in chronograph.

Timex Expedition

The  Expedition range is one of the brand's most loved collections regarding design variations, experimentation and functionality. The Expedition family consists of watches built for outdoor pursuits, inspired by traditional army and utilitarian design. Heavy on the detail, typically you'll find this collection in black, grey, olive green and brown; featuring chronograph details, patented flyback mechanics, NATO straps and the brand's ever-present Indiglo technology.

Timex Fairfield

A new addition to the Timex catalogue, the  Fairfield is a stripped back take on the brand's Weekender watch. Featuring a numberless face, slim-line casing and flat glasswork, the Fairfield is Timex's nod to the minimalistic movement of modern design. Taking inspiration from simple Scandinavian aesthetic and mixing it with the brand's classic sense of American Ivy League.

Timex Ironman

The bulkiest of the bunch and most definitely the watch that gets the award for the manliest name is the Ironman. The  Ironman comes in many different shapes, sizes and colours; some utilitarian-inspired and others with a hefty dose of colour pop. The Ironman fits into that rugged, durable, outdoor look perfectly but its lightweight body also makes it the ideal style for the gym and everyday exercise activities.

Timex Easy Reader

You might start off on the wrong foot with the  Timex Easy Reader. The name 'Easy Reader' evokes a slightly old man-feel to it - someone who needs big numbering to actually see the time. But in reality the Easy Reader is one of Timex's more timeless pieces, with the large, clear font, minimal face and muted colour making it a style for someone looking for something a little more elegant.
