This is a straightforward guide for metal and plastic figure painters allowing you to cross reference the excellent Vallejo GAME Color acrylic paint system with the (old) Games Workshop range. Hence if you paint with the older version GW paints and want to try out Vallejo just consult the chart and vice-versa. My interest is both personal and professional as I enjoy painting figures for a hobby and also run an eBay Toy Soldier store which sells Vallejo paint. Click here for my store's paint section: Drum & Flag Paints & Brushes .
Note 1: This guide is for GAME Color not MODEL Color which is a similar but different Vallejo range. The main differences are simply these: colour name, range size, numbering and that Model Color is aimed more at military modellers and Game Color more at wargamers. Both are produced to the same high standard in the same type of bottles.
Note 2: Over time Vallejo may change the names of some paints. eg #17 Sick Blue = Dark Blue. The code number and the colour of the paint remain the same.

What's good about Vallejo?
* Excellent value for money.
* Highly Pigmented - so your paint goes further. Shake or stir to get the benefit of all that richness.
* Easily mixable to produce your own shades and tones.
* Eye-dropper bottle design - so your paint dries out in the bottle much less quickly.
* Soft plastic bottle - so you can squeeze out exactly how much you want at any one time.
* Water based and therefore gentle on your brushes, easy to wash off your hands and does not emit the fumes Enamels do.
* Big range & compatible with other leading brands.
* Available in my eBay store in over 60 themed Drum & Flag paint packs (eg Choose Any 10 of Your Choice, Full Range Set of 95 Bottles, WW2 Germans, Romans, Napoleonic French, WWI British, Civil War, Inks, Zulu Wars etc...). Saves you the bother of having to pick out the individual paints yourself if you don't wish to do so.
