For the first time ever, I had a fake/spam email today. Although you get a warning from ebay about these, if you have never had it happen, and have been a member for some time (worse if you are new), you may not think it will happen to you...It will!

I have been given good advice which is VITAL!!

These fake contacts will go both into your ebay mail, and your normal email address. When these show in your ebay mail, you can open them. Then click on to REPORT at the side of your ebay mail options.

However, NEVER, I`ll say it again, NEVER open any email which goes to your normal email address/ and is not recognised by you as a seller you have purchased from!!!!

If you open the fake email in your normal email account, THIS WILL GIVE THE FRAUDULENT INDIVIDUAL/COMPANY YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS & YOU WILL THEN BE SWAMPED BY THESE - I KNOW OF NO WAY TO STOP THEM ONCE THIS HAS HAPPENED.............NEVER OPEN AN EMAIL YOU DO NOT RECOGNISE!!!!!!!!

The ONLY safe place to do this is in your EBAY MAIL!.....You MUST then REPORT IT. Do not worry, it is quick and simple to REPORT, takes seconds, and is VITAL!

By reporting it to ebay, you will be cleared of this individual Fake, if you do not report it, there is nothing ebay can do to get rid of these!!

I am sure others have given the same type of advice, BUT IT IS WORTH REPEATING!!!

Take note of this WARNING PLEASE!

PS/ THESE ARE CHINESE AND CAN BE RECOGNISED BY OFFERS, AND INFORMING YOU THEY HAVE NOTICED YOU BUY CERTAIN ITEMS....THEN INVITE YOU TO VIEW THEIR SHOP OFFERING ROCK BOTTOM BARGAINS. THEY WILL ALSO TELL YOU TO IGNORE THE MESSAGE IF IT DISTURBS YOU......THEY TELL YOU TO IGNORE IN THE HOPE YOU WILL NOT REPORT THEM......REPORT THEM!!!!!
