This is a BRAND NEW REGION 2 (EUROPE) PAL DVD

WARNING FOR NON-EUROPE BUYERS:

Unless you have a multi-region DVD Player or computer drive AND a TV that can play PAL (Computer will play PAL) this will not work. Many Players and Drives can easily be reprogrammed for all regions, or already be able to do so. Search on the web for info. If you order one of these DVDs and you live outside EUROPE then I assume that you have read this and have the relevant equipment to play it. I won't be able to refund if you cannot play it in Non-Region 2 Countries. If you are not sure what region you are in, look on the back of a case of one that DOES work and see what region it is.

I have many satisfied customers from the United States BUT they checked and are confident that these DVDs WILL work on their systems. Up until now I have had customers who failed to take this Region incompatibility issue into account sufficiently, hence this long-winded explanation here.

The idea of Region Protection on DVDs is so Film Distribution Companies could control the release of their titles around the world, so for example, a DVD may be released in North America and European buyers wouldn't be able to play this DVD on their systems, they had to wait until the DVD is released for their region. Most of my titles are Region 2 (for Europe) and PAL as I come from the United Kingdom.

The Regions are (basically):

  • REGION 1: USA and Canada
  • REGION 2: Europe, Japan, South Africa, Middle East
  • REGION 3: South-East Asia
  • REGION 4: Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand
  • REGION 5: Former Soviet Union, India, Pakistan, Africa
  • REGION 6: China
  • Region 0, "All Regions" or "Region Free" means the disc has no regional restriction and will play on any DVD player worldwide.

Some Region 1 (USA etc) have 'RCE' protection against multi region players. Apparently Charlie's Angels starring Cameron Diaz on Region 1 is just such a title. RCE may be being phased out as time goes on.

So, after all that, what I am basically saying is this.

FOR NON-EUROPE BUYERS: Unless you have a multi-region DVD Player or computer drive AND a TV that can play PAL (Computer will play PAL) this will not work. Many Players and Drives can easily be reprogrammed for all regions, or already be able to do so. Search on the web for info. If you order one of these DVDs and you live outside the Europe then I assume that you have read this and have the relevant equipment to play it. I won't be able to refund if you cannot play it in Non-Region 2 Countries. If you are not sure what region you are in, look on the back of a case of one that DOES work and see what region it is.

I do not deal in Fakes

I only sell genuine DVDs and Videos sourced from reputable distributors.

More and more DVDs arrive into stock now without a cellophane cover on the case. So if yours doesn't have one and is just a case, then it doesn't mean it is second hand.
