NO CAR TAX ! CHEAP INSURANCE ! SOUNDS GREAT DOESN'T IT.
BE VERY CAREFULL WHEN BROWSING THROUGH CLASSIC CARS,HERE IS MY ADVISE I HAVE DEALT WITH A FEW, SOME GOOD AND SOME THAT SHOULD OF BEEN SCRAPED.
FIRST OF ALL ENSURE ITS GOT AN M.O.T. (THE LONGER THE BETTER) SOUNDS COMMON SENSE BUT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WOULD SELL YOU THEIR ROLLING BAG OF RUST ON A NOSTALGIC NOTE AND NOT BAT AN EYE LID ONCE THEY HAVE GOT YOUR WAD OF CASH,REMEMBER THIS IS AN AUCTION SITE NOT A CAR DEALERSHIP.
CHECK THEIR RATING AND READ THE FEEDBACKS ! ANYONE WITH LESS THAN 98 PERCENT OUT OF A 100 SALES AVOID!
DON'T BUY A CAR FROM ANYONE WITH LESS THAN 30 FEEDBACK.
IF ITS POSSIBLE GO AND INSPECT IT (THEY ALWAYS LOOK BETTER ON THE PHOTOS).
USE THE "ASK SELLER A QUESTION" AND GET TO KNOW AS MUCH INFORMATION  AS YOU CAN  (THIS IS AMMUNITION  IF ANYTHING IS WRONG ,PRINT IT OUT AND KEEP IT)  ALWAYS ASK WHAT ITS LIKE UNDERNEATH AS WELDING IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE YOUR BIGGEST BILL AT THE NEXT M.O.T.
DON'T BUY A CAR IF THEY ARE SELLING FOR SOMEONE ELSE I.E. A FRIEND WITHOUT A COMPUTER OR MY FARTHER INLAW (CHANCES ARE ITS A DUFFER) AND  YOU WONT SEE THE REAL SELLER FOR DUST.CHECK SPARES AVAILABILITY FORDS,TRIUMPHS ARE O.K. AS ARE MORRIS MINORS BUT WHEN CAR MANUFACTURERS WENT OUT OF PRODUCTION ALONG TIME AGO (EXAMPLE JOWETT) IT IS A FULL TIME JOB TRACKING SPARES.IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO JOIN AN OWNERS CLUB BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR CAR BECAUSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RESEARCH YOUR CAR AND HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON PRICES YOU CAN FIND THESE IN CLASSIC CAR MAGAZINES IN YOUR NEWSAGENTS, BUT BECAUSE SOMEONE IS IN AN OWNERS CLUB IT DOESN'T MAKE THEIR CAR ANY BETTER IT JUST MEANS YOU ARE WET BEHIND THE EARS AND YOU MIGHT PAY MORE!
AVOID TRANSPORT COST BY HIRING A CAR TRAILER AS ITS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO DO IT YOURSELF!
TAKE MY ADVICE IF YOU LIKE,AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE JUST REMEMBER BUYER BEWARE!
