Wearing Indian Bangles

Like if this guide is helpful

  • Apply lotion to your hand and wrist. Lotion will make your skin smoother and reduce friction between your skin and the bangle so that the bangles can slide on easier.

  • Relax your muscles in your fingers and your hand. Lay your hand flat for a few seconds and allow all the muscles to loosen. Tense muscles make it difficult to slide small bangles over your wrist.

  • Warm up the bangles first. The metal bangles will be more malleable and slightly softer if they are warm. Hold the bangles in your hand for a few minutes or slip them in your pocket while you finish getting ready to warm them to your body temperature.

  • Slide the bangles over your hand at an angle. This will give you a few additional degrees of space and allow you to work the bangles up and over your wrist in small increments. Forcing bangles onto your wrist could damage the jewellery and hurt your hand and wrist.

  • Another tip is to place a thin plastic bag over your hand and wrist and slide the bangle over them to get it on your arm, and then remove the plastic bag. Please be careful using plastic bags near children.

Bangle Size

Remember that bangles don't have a closure, so you will need to fit them over your hand without opening them. I

To find the bangle size that will correctly fit your wrist, we need to determine the inner diameter that will fit around your hands and to your wrist. Finding the correct bangle size can be difficult because you will have to make the judgment yourself on what size your wrist is and how large your hands are.

Tips on determining your Bangle Size

Try to use a bangle you may already have, just measure the inner diameter.

Visit a local jeweller and ask to have your bangle size measured. Keep a good not of your size. While you may be having your bangle size measured, have your ring size measured for your fingers.

Do be careful trying on bangles as too much force on them can lead to a damaged wrist or the bangle breaking.
