Eau de Parfum

Eau De Parfum

Eau de Parfum contains about 15 to 20% of the essential oil and therefore has less alcohol. Longer lasting on the skin due to its level of concentration and can last for up to 4-5 hours.
This type of perfume often cost more than the likes of Eau de Toilette and Eau de Colongne  due to its concentration of the essence .

Other names such as millésime and Parfume de Toilette PDT where used to refer to this concentration. Here is a list of products we think you should get in EDT concentration:
  • Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo
  • Paco Rabanne Lady Million
  • Thiery Mugler Angel
  • Burberry Touch by Burberry
  • Channel No 5

Eau de Toilette

Eau De Toilette

A weaker concentration to Eau de Parfum which contains 5 to 15% of the essential oil. This is fairly reasonably priced and is suitable for everyday use and can last for up to 2-3 hours.

If you need to know ways to keep your fragrances everlasting(not really but a longer time) we will be writing an article about "How to Stretch Your Perfume Bottle". We know some of our favorites can be expensive (basically an arm and a leg, and skin) and you may want to wear it 3 times because it doesn't seem to last - trust me i walk with an automiser! So keep in touch for that! In the mean time here are some great fragrances at EDP concentration:
  • Paco Rabanne Invictus
  • Gucci Rush
  • Thiery Mugler Angel (EDP aswell)
  • Paco Rabanne 1 million
  • Lacoste Blanc, Bleu, Red, Noir
  • David Beckam
  • 007

Both Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette works great! The only difference is the potency (the level of perfume oil used results in the strength of the fragrance), the price and its wear off time. As retailer of over 50 fragrances we notice most of our men's perfume comes as EDT and most women's as EDP. We have also noticed this trend in other perfume retailers as well.
