A guide to first time/ inexperienced vibrator buyers.
When buying your first vibrator it can be a really daunting task. What do you need? What do you want? The size, texture, feel, even colour all come into play. I vaguley remember my first vibrator that my first husband bought me; it was creamy flesh coloured, quite wide and about 8 inches - to be honest I think he only bought it cos it resembled his own! But I remember feeling quite disappointed with it, it was pretty slow, and not many different modes, sadly it began gathering dust and eventually went in the bin.
DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU!!
So when purchasing a vibrator for the first time ask yourself these vital questions:
1) Do I like the look of it? This is more important than you may think. One partner once quipped 'all cocks are the same' which in reality that's not the case, and not all vibes are the same.
2) Does it have different settings? Most vibrators do, but it's always worth checking it isn't just dull, slow paced missionary, or rampant drill.
3) Is it a good size for you? Size DOES matter when it comes to vibes. A small one, 'a lady's finger' lipstick, or bullet is great for clit stimulation, not so hot on peneration though. For satisfying peneration go for a penis sized vibrator. And remember monster sized vibes will probably be half inserted into the vagina or anus, so its a waste of money - unless you like the idea of a monster vibe in your vagina or anus.
4) Can you afford it? I know that's a pretty obvious question, but with so much to choose from it can be easy to get carried away buying lots of cheap sex toys, when if you buy wisely you can easily own more expensive, but better quality items that you wouldn't be embarrassed to use with a partner.

Happy buying :)
