Another one I found useful was screwing the drawer knob the wrong way so the screw head is on the out side and the knob on the inside. And this way when your child is old enough you haven't lost the knob. The idea is to use your finger nail to pull a bit of the screw head out so you can pull open the drawer (and not your child), when your done with the drawer close it and push the head of the crew back in(make sure you can see the head of the screw so the head must be bigger than the hole but flat ). At this age they don't know that trick of how to use a finger nail to its full potential . This is also usefull if you keep bumping into that drawer knob
