This device is GREAT, I say that as this is the fifth media player I have purchased. It handles virtually all of the formats you could need (until some new ones emerge that is) and is designed for ease of use. To be able to display the pictures you have just taken on your camera on a big screen, or play a movie trailer from your memory stick , even epics such as Ben Hur from the hard disk you installed. This player has it all, but its major factor is the value for money it represents, being a budget device but with high end quality of service prompted me to purchase two, one for my 90 year old mother. The menu system is so easy to navigate she finds it no harder to use than changing a regular TV channel.

Having said that if you wish to have an auto select AV switch work with it, there can be a few hiccups with video detection, as the device checks ether to use hdmi or composite video when switched on, but these can be over come as I have done. The only other thing to mention is that when a "BRAND NEW" hard disk is used for the device and maybe even a used one DO NOT quick format the drive, I found that if you do, the device will NOT see the drive, though it does show up on the computer. All round a 5* rating from me and I see it giving great value for money throughout its life.
