fake ghd's set on fire

Like if this guide is helpful

I purchased a pair of ghd's in June 09 for a bargain price of £70.00. I thought it was too good to be true at that price, but i am a new ebay geek and i thought i had a bargain.

I have used them daily, until last thursday, i turned them on, i was thankfully distracted, when i turned around to use them they were on fire. I telephoned ghd's and provided them with the number on the hologram and to my disgrace was told my product was fake.

I have emailed the seller since last Thursday, but i have had no reply, i have also spoke to countless people at customer services at Ebay and payPal but i have had no luck, because they tell me my product is over the timescale for a refund and i have no product number??.

I have kept the receipt number confirming payment to paypal and an email form the seller but thats all i have.

I have since purchased a pair from a salon and i have paid £110.00, and the first thing i did was phone Ghd and confirm their authenticity.

Can anyone else suggest what i do next.

Thank you
