I bought some taylormade r7 cgb irons with graphite shafts for £254 in june.

Was informed by description to be "genuine taylormae" the feedback for the seller was good and so i bought them and have been using them thinking there genuine and being chuffed to have some taylormade clubs.

Today 24/9  i was in the golf shop and was showing the pro my clubs, when he informed me they were fake asking how he new this he responded the grips smell of rubber and when you smell my r9 5 wood it does not, secondly the insert was not correct but is "very similar to ones being sold on ebay,as i now know you can register them with taylormade but what is the point as they dont inform you they are fake.

I contacted paypal but because its over 45 days they cant or wont do anything and ebay are the same.

I contacted my credit card company and they said because it went through paypal there is nothing they can do but if i had just used the credit card not paypal i could of recouped the money.

So in my opinion what is the need for paypal as it does nothing for you after 45 days and ebay, so put a guide in for spotting conterfit goods or links to people who have been conned out of there money and have no chance of a refund as it is over 45 days.
