faulty goods

I have just been reading a topic in relation to a mamas and papas cot and its faults where they have refused a refund and would ike to post the following.

If you have bought anything from any trader and it has its faults which were not identified at the time of sale then I would recommend contacting their local trading standards as goods are covered by

1) The sale of gods act 1979(ammended)

2) The suppl of goods and service act 1982

When you buy a product the trader must supply you with goods which are

Of satisfactory quality .This means durable, safe, fit for their intended purpose free from minor defects and of reasonable appearance and finish

as described to you.

Please visit the trading standards website who have a full spec on what your rights and entitlements are and what to do when it comes to faulty goods.
