some people are selling televisions they state as hd ready. this is slightly innaccurate. true hd is run on 1080 pixel line resolution. that means there will be 1080 lines of pixels on the screen. hd ready tvs are only 720 lines. your current normal un-hd tv runs on 576 pixel line resolution. high definition television gives you almost double the amount of pixel lines you currently get. if you buy a hd ready (720 lines) set, you really arent much better ff, and when all television goes to HD, you will be left with either a letter box image, or the sides cut off your image, or a distorted image. also note 1080p and 1080 i are different. if it isnt 1080p, it isnt HD and you are being ripped off.
