BESTWAY LAY-Z-SPA HOT TUB REVIEW:
I have owned all 3 models over the past 2 and half years and you can take it from me these things are a great item but absolutely unreliable with the main fault being that that the heater element within the pump fails on average about every 3 to 7 months.

REALITY CHECK: If you buy one of these items you should be aware that you are NOT actually purchasing an item which you will own for some years  you are effectively buying a long term rental before the pump fails (and it will) you will be protected by the warranty so you will get at least 12 months with periods of non use whilst you are waiting for your new pump (insists bestway EXTEND your warranty for the time you were without the pump)

I carried on with the spa because it was cheaper than renting one... simple...

Also please be aware of your Consumer RIGHTS on the breakdown and replacement:

A product should last a "resonable" amount of time in its lifetime before failure if it does not you can go to the small claims court to get a new one / refund or part refund up to  6 years after buying the item or having it replaced. (YES TRUE - NOT WELL KNOWN BUT 100% true in the UK)
SO ... you would win an argument that went like this ....
1) bestway guarantee their pumps for 12 months so they clearly expect them to last at least this long
2) your pump was replaced at 6 months with a new pump THERFORE this item regardless of being in guarantee should last at LEAST this long and bestway should honour this
3) bestway may win an argument that a finacial ajustment in their favour based on average full product life should be applied based on use i.e. product should last 5 years and it lasted 1 , so they may expect you to pay one fith of the cost of a new replcement

I AM NOT WRONG ON THE ABOVE , Also you can claim back the cost of a small claims court action... so in essence you have nothing to lose.

I personally think that bestway should warrant their replcement pumps for say 3 months or so regardless of gurantee date.

It will take a few people to Small Claim them before they stop telling people to get lost 2 days out of guarantee

DONT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT PEOPLE = THERE IS A OBVIOUSLY A DESIGN FLAW IN THESE PUMPS
