When you consider buying the Lay-z-spa there are a couple of things you really need to know, which the advertisers overlook. Firstly this spa needs to have at least an RCP plug fitted to any extension lead which must be completely uncoiled before use. When my spa kept coming up with an error message, I rang Bestway's helpline. The girl on the other end made me feel like a real idiot & informed me that I should get an electrician in to connect the spa properly.
The spa was easy enough to set up & took overnight to reach 40 degrees. We used the spa twice & it was great, we both slept like logs. However, less than 1 week after purchase the pump/ heater stopped working. More error messages, more phone calls during which Bestway seemed totally unable to accept the product was at fault. They eventually told us to return the pump at our own cost for a replacement, I contacted the company that i purchased it from & they collected it. All the relevant paperwork was enclosed in a brown envelope inside the box.
On returning from holiday last week, there was still no news of the pump. After several phone calls we were told the delay was because we had returned it without any paperwork! The new pump has now arrived & all seems fine, except that they returned it without a filter so I now need to go out & buy another before I can use the spa!
The after service is not good from this company. The spa is great whilst it works but i'm now holding my breath to see how long this pump lasts.
