I have just read the review members beware of high postage prices that is related to some sites in China and the advice that the member has written is good advice for ant member buying goods, but have we looked on our own door step at some of the prices that are being charged by our own members here in the UK, when is Ebay going to do something about some members taking advantage of the postal system by overcharging. Here are a few tips when bidding. Firstly look at the postal charge and if you are not happy contact the seller before you bid. Look at the size of the object and ask the seller the size and dimensions and also not for getting the weight. Ask the seller how he is going to pack your item and ask if it is necessary to use such packaging and what type of packing he is using. Get yourself a price list from your local post office for postage of goods, ask for weight, size and dimensions, also ask at any company that deals in postal packaging, this will then give you an idea of the cost of your packaging. Finally discuss the cost of the postal charge with the seller and ask them to re-consider the charge of packaging. But don't forget sometimes you may need to pay for items of value that may need a signature or special packaging but if you know the weight and size of your bid and the price of postage ask the seller to adjust his price accordingly Always contact your seller before you bid, because if you bid you are agreeing to their prices, but you can always ask and give the seller time to respond and if they don't respond forget them. I hope that this may help some people and lets hope that E bay does some thing about sellers that are profiting from postal charges
