non delivery claims by buyers

This subject is now reaching epidemic proportions. Yet again I have sold items to an illiterate buyer who in the same breath as claiming my items have not arrived, he says he has also lost three other items that have failed to be delivered!

Ebay as usual take no heed of proof of posting or efforts on my part to help buyer find his items and have refunded his monies in full (again).

Ebay give zero protection to sellers, but I hear that Royal Mail are taking action to investigate claims and have gone legal on some cases, so please everyone make sure you complete your claim however small against Royal Mail (form P58).

Iam now obliged to check and double check every buyer by looking to see if he has previous, and even check their front door on Google Earth Streetview, to assess the propabilities of getting conned again. If in any doubt, the deal will be cancelled.

What about recorded delivery I hear you cry? Well yes buyers are now having to pay it on most domestic deliveries due to the efforts of the unscrupulous few.

Perhaps we can start a log of all similar cases? Simple data giving buyer title and good value and brief nature of case.
