tale of the bad buy

Bought a bike i couldn't view but seller agreed to deliver to a local living friend, she rode the bike to my friend who's 82, he didn't try it but spent considerable time getting it up to scratch with me sending money for minor parts etc as we were told all was ok, on the first ride i could take after insuring it and 2 months from purchase it was immediately apparent that the big end had gone, this only becomes apparent when engine is under load so my mechanic friend who had revved it on the stand had no idea, £500 down the drain plus £50 charge from insurance company to switch policy to my other bike, same model so it was purly admin charge. So morol of this tale is you MUST try before you buy, remember they could be selling their unwanted crap.
