finishing touches are key.

This gorgeous fire place was plane and a horrible pine colour when we first moved in to the property so to jazz it up a bit and completly change the dynamics of the small living room we sanded down all the wood on the fireplace and changed the glass panels in the cupboard doors to wooden panels. Which we used mdf board as its really easy to cut down to size with a jigsaw. Then we added some colour by painting a lovely grey that would give it plenty of charactet. The fire saround was an ugpy brass as you can see on the images i have addded. So with a metal spray we sprayed it black. This completly transforms it. and to freshen up the dated tiles that were patterned we used a great tile paint in cream (make sure the grout is cleaned with a grout clean first.) This kept them ppain and simple looking in contrast to the fire place. Then for a finishing touch we added an old sleeper which we picked up really cheap. Which as you can see just finishes the fireplace off with a unique feature. Then finally we added some bunting to give it that homely Finish and feel. And there you go a fantastic focal point that is simple to do and will have all your guests in ore. All these products can be found on eBay by just searching key words.
