waterproof trousers

The cost in the shops can be high, they do last a long time unless ripped and i have never been able to successfully mend a pair.  You are advised not to machine wash BUT when you have had a child go on a hike fall over and they come back smelly hand washing for me is out of the question, anyway if they do become wet through rain or ponds the protective coating is going to wear away.

It is possible to coat them again using a spray from dry proofing tents i( have see these for sale through ebay) roughly £5 for a can but it works out cheaper than replacing the trousers and it works on cagoules too.
