This fixed price listing is for one GENUINE DUALIT TOASTER PRO HEAT HEATING ELEMENT as shown in the item picture below (check the part number, description and voltage). These are the latest Pro Heat elements and the only genuine Dualit elements now available. Please check that you are purchasing the correct heating element for your model of toaster. We suggest reading the useful information we have compiled below, it should answer any questions you may have about your toaster element.

Dualit Heating Elements - Useful Information & Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Pro Heat elements replace all old style elements from the past 40 years (exposed wire type) with the exception of what Dualit called Black Heat elements, the Black Heat elements are easily identified as having a rough black stone type finish, these were used for a short period many years ago and are now quite rare, if you have Black Heat elements then there are no modern day replacements. Dualit Pro Heat elements fit the Classic, Vario and Newgen range of toasters, if you have one the new LITE model toasters (Dualit's budget range) spare parts are not available as these are classed as a none-servicable appliance. The Pro Heat elements are slightly longer than the old style elements, the retaining bar that holds the element in place sits under the old style element but in the new style it sits in the V-shaped groove, see picture below to compare the two elements.
Pro Heat elements are bonded with a heat resistant protective Mica coating, this coating must be left in place, do not try to peel it off. Because mica is a natural mineral it is not unusual for elements to have some brown blemishes or slight flaking on the mica coating, this is not a fault with the elements and does not effect the correct operation. Upon the first few uses with new elements they may glow slightly red, make a crackling noise and give off a slight smell, it is advisable to let the elements heat for a while so they settle in before using them with any products in the toaster.
The centre elements and end elements are different wattages across the range of toasters, this is because the end element only has to toast one side of the bread, the centre elements have to toast two sides, when installing the elements it does not matter which way they face, just make sure that the ends are at the end and centres in the centre. Genuine Dualit pro Heat elements are stamped on the metal rim to indicate which is the end and which is the centre element. It is important to get the correct part number for your model of toaster, a 6 slot centre element is not the same wattage as a 2 slot centre element. It is also important to make sure you don't just count the slots in your toaster, the BUN toasters have a different element set than the BREAD toasters. This guide may help you identify the correct element part number for your model.
The following guide is information taken from Dualit's own website explaining the process of replacing the elements on a common model toaster, it is our company policy to advise that any repairs and testing should be carried out by a suitably qualified person. Please note that electric heating elements are not supplied with any warranty, if your original element has blown you may have an underlying problem that has led to the eventual failure of the element, if the original cause of the failure is not rectified then you risk blowing the new element. For this reason heating elements can not be supplied with any warranty. Parts should always be diagnosed, installed and tested by a suitably qualified and trained person.

POSTAGE / DELIVERY
Orders processed before 3:45 pm are dispatched same day, the next working day delivery by courier service is to mainland UK only, please note that certain remote areas (Highlands & Islands) and Northern Ireland are not covered by our daily couriers, these areas will have to be sent using royal mail or an alternative service. Please also note that normal next day delivery is Monday to Friday only, parts sent out on a Friday will not normally be delivered until the next normal working day which would be Monday, if you require Saturday delivery please call us before completing checkout. We ask that you include a contact telephone number when completing the sale for us to place on the couriers manifest, our couriers will not take parcels without a contact number. A signature is required for each parcel. Parcels sent out on the standard next day courier can be delivered any time between 7:00 am & 6:30 pm. If nobody is available to sign for the parcel then the driver may leave a card and you may have to contact them to arrange re-delivery. If nobody is available then the parcel will be returned to us. Please unpack and check all items before signing for them, we can not be held responsible for any items that have been signed for as ok and then later reported as damaged. We will not be held responsible for any losses incurred either direct or indirectly as a result of delayed delivery of any items. If you have any specific delivery requirements i.e before 9:00am, Saturday, etc.... please do not hesitate to contact us.
PAYMENT / VAT
All prices shown on ebay listings INCLUDE Vat. We will accept payment by Paypal, postal order or personal / business cheques and credit or debit cards, if paying by card please contact us on 01924 872982. Payment is only accepted in Sterling (GBP). Buyers outside of the UK are responsible for any duties, local taxes and charges due. REFUNDS / RETURNS

We will gladly refund the full payment amount (excluding carriage charges) if you are at all dis-satisfied with an item or find it is not suitable for the purpose you bought it for as long as the item is returned in its original condition and unused within 14 days of receipt. We can not refund the original outgoing carriage charge and also reserve the right to deduct a maximum of 20% handling charge for items that have been ordered in error. Return carriage charges have to be at the buyers expense and items must be sent or secure delivery to enable a full refund. All items are sold with a thirty day warranty against manufacturing defects unless otherwise stated in the items description on the main listing. Please note that heating elements, lamps, glassware, circuit boards, digital controllers, rubber seals and consumables are excluded from any warranty. Any items returned as faulty will need to be supported by a detailed report from a qualified person stating the exact nature of the fault. We will not accept warranty claims for diy fitting of components by none trained persons. Returned items will be inspected by our own qualified engineers or returned to our supplier for inspection. Items that have been unpacked and fitted and are not in the original re-saleable condition will be returned to the buyer and no refunds will be given. We reserve the right to offer either a replacement part or a full refund for returned items.
