Here we have another opportunity for you to purchase a piece of British Engineering History and to be the first to own this fabulous 'NEW' 15" Gauge 'Flying Scotsman' to be completed in the UK for over '50 Years'
We have been working on this locomotive over the past number of years and as it is now getting closer to being finished we are offering you the chance to purchase this fabulous piece of engineering. We estimate approximately 10 Weeks to finish this project as it now just requires painting and track testing. Once complete this engine has a commercial estimated value of £250,000/£275,000 We are open to sensible offers for this locomotive in the region of the estimate. Delivery would be during the next 3 Months once all testing has taken place. We are also making available to purchase seperately a complete set of Luxury Pullman Style Coaches, finished in the same livery as the Flying Scotsman. We can also supply the Track and Sleepers if you want to make your own large scale railway. Plus we offer a Track Design and Layout Service. This Locomotive has been made with the intention of it being used commmercially, so all elements of safety have been taken into account for this purpose. Remember this is a Brand New Locomotive, made from all NEW Parts including the CE marked Boiler. Estimated weight with the tender is approximately 5 Tonnes and is over 18ft in length. the Tender can be viewed at our Letchworth Showroom and the Locomotive in build at our Darlington Locomotive Works. COMMERCIAL OPERATORS: We will also discuss with commercial operators the possibility of Hiring this complete locomotive on a Short or Long term basis. Please ask for terms and conditions.
