H2 Date Code Boxed 1962 Gillette Slim Adjustable Safety Razor.

Nice example, either shave with as is or with mild restorative cleaning would make a nice show piece. USA Made with Gillette Boston USA marked case.

Supplied with three packs of blades Gillette Blue Extra (circa 1960, Gillette Thins, circa 1950 and Gillette Steel "the Spoiler" circa 1970's) The blades supplied are for show only and should not be used (whilst the Thins and the Blues are sealed, the spoilers are not and I would seriously NOT consider using them).

I will supply a brand new modern blade for you to try and this means that to bid you need to be 18 or over.

I had bought this to keep until my daily adjustable let go (the mechanism is getting slack) but recent events have meant that this is no longer going to be needed.

Adjuster mechanism clicks reassuringly and does not slip, silo doors open smoothly and close tightly, blade alignment appears even on both sides. Not by any means mint, but no plate loss or pitting. I would grade this as a shaver grade, made to be used and enjoyed. Considered by many to be the best adjustable razor ever made, superior in its shaving ability to even the fabled Fat Boy, it is testament to Gillettes superb engineering and quality control that 50 years on, so many of these are still in use daily to this day. I use a 1964 one every day and it is my favourite razor. Even James Bond used one in Goldfinger.
