Alden Unlined Plain Toe Blucher in Brown Suede.
Size US 9.5 / UK 9. Width Fitting is D. RRP £435 The shoes come in their original box, with the original pair of Alden shoe bags. This is Alden's classic plain toe blucher/derby shoe in brown English calf suede, with an unlined soft toe. The shoe has Alden's Flex insole, and is Goodyear Welted to an oiled leather flex welt outsole. All this adds up to an extremely comfortable shoe. The shoes have been worn lightly, always in fair weather. They were treated with high quality suede protector before use, gently cleaned regularly with a proper suede brush, and kept on genuine cedar shoe trees when not in use. The uppers are in very good condition, with very few signs of wear apart from the suede naturally softening up and getting lightly napped up. The soles are in overall very good condition, with several years wear left in them. The only real sign of wear is at the rubber heel insert, which has worn down. The heels themselves have a long way to go before they need replacing. The shoes cold be worn as they are, or any good cobbler could replace the rubber heel insert easily and cheaply. These are made to last, and the Goodyear Welt means the sole can always be replaced easily for the life of the shoe. I bought these last summer for £435. Unfortunately they are too big for me. They were worn lightly over last summer, not worn at all over winter, and I haven't worn them at all this year due to them being too big, hence the sale.
