CONDITION:  ENGLISH Text.  COMPLETE, Including All 24 Books of The Odyssey, "A General View of the Epic Poem...Extracted from BOSSU", Postscript, Index, Homer's Battle of the FROGS and MICE with Separate Title Page, etc (See Photos).  Translated by Alexander Pope, with the assistance of Elijah Fenton and William Broome.  ATTRACTIVE FULL Leather Bound Books (See Photos).  2 Volumes Bound in Attractive Full Leather Bindings with Elegant Gold Gilted Bordering and Design on Spines (See Photos).  Spines Have Five Raised Bands That Create Compartments (See Photos).  The Second Compartment of Each Spine Contains a Burgundy Leather Title Label with "POPE'S ODYSSEY" Imprinted in Gold Gilted Font (See Photos).  The Third Compartment of Each Spine Contains a Black Leather Volume Label with "VOL. I." or "VOL. II." Respectively Imprinted in Gold Gilted Font (See Photos).  Gold Gilding on Black Volume Labels Has Faded (See Photos).  The Other Compartments Contain Elaborate Gold Gilted Design and Bordering (See Photos).  Volumes Are Tightly Bound (See Photos).  Joints Are Strong and Have Been Professionally Restored (See Photos).  Spine Caps/Ends Rubbed with Loss and Board Edges, Joints and Board Corners Rubbed/Scuffed (See Photos).  Inner Hinges Show Some Starting Separation, But Strong and Intact (See Photos).  Internal Pages are Crisp, Clean and Clear, but With Some Browning in Margins (See Photos).  Outer Board Edges Nicely Rolled in a Gold Gilted Design --- NICE TOUCH (See Photos).  No Bookplates Attached, but Signatures on Front Fly Leaf (See Photos).  ATTRACTIVE EARLY BOOKS THAT SHOULD CONTINUE TO APPRECIATE GREATLY IN VALUE OVER TIME.
