6" x 6" (15.2cm x 15.2cm) oil on board (6mm deep), produced 2012.

This is a small oil painting of a Friesian horse produced in preparation for a possible larger painting. I have wanted to paint this for a while but have been trying to steer clear of plain headshots in favour of more interesting things... in the end though I decided that the simplicity of the image was actually what I liked about it, so went for it!
