1910 Notts County FC - Share Certificate 1 of only 500 issued STUNNING & UNIQUE

An opportunity to buy an ORIGINAL & UNIQUE piece of Memorabilia which is bound to delight any Football / Soccer supporter, regardless of which team they personally support.

Universally recognised as the Oldest Professional Football / Soccer League Club in the World, Notts County was formed in 1862 and was a founder member of The English Football League in 1888. In 1910, Notts County (under their Registered Company name of The Notts. Incorporated Football Club) needed to raise funds and did so by issuing £10 Debenture Certificates which were individually numbered. These were limited to a Total of 500, the majority of which were bought by Local Businesses and Notabilities etc. The Debentures were issued in 2 lavish books containing 250 Certificates in each and we have both of the books. The vast majority were sold and all that remains in Book 1 are the stubs with names, addresses and Occupations of purchasers. However, not all were sold from book 2, numbered 251 to 500 and this auction is for one of the remaining unsold Debenture Certificates. This would make a fabulous Birthday/Anniversary/Celebration/Christmas gift to a fan, collector, relative - or even yourself.

The Certificates are in excellent, outstanding condition for over 100 years old - unmarked and just light creasing around the edges and corners. It has a red "tax" seal embossed on the front and the Conditions of Sale printed on the reverse. The Certificate measures 11.75 inches by 10.25 inches and would look absolutely stunning if mounted in a complimentary frame. Please note the certificate you buy will have a different number to the one shown in the photo as they are all numbered individually.
