Original Programme from a floodlit friendly game, played at Belle Vue ground, Rhyl, North Wales, on March 20th, 1956, 23 months prior to the Munich disaster. Programme in quite good condition, showing teams in the centrefold, with player profiles of the Busby babes on the first inner page, and a list of the Busby Babes on the inner rear page. Team page has been marked with some substitutions, but the pencil has faded. The Western Command team is made up of many famous names from the time, and their clubs have been annotated below the names, including Don Howe and Jimmy Arnfield. |
