This fantastic iconic 1967 London Routemaster Bus
was extensively refurbished and converted into a fully functioning,
self-contained mobile bar / hospitality unit earlier in 2013. No expense was spared and everything was overhauled and hand built by
skilled professional craftsmen making this one of the finest Routemaster
conversions ever built.
Since then we have completed a number of very successful
events where the new Bus Bar has performed perfectly.
Only the best quality of equipment has been installed throughout with warranties included.
Mechanically, the bus features an excellent Iveco engine, which runs very smoothly and comfortably sits at 45mph. You can take it on the motorway and easily tour the country going from event to event.
I spent a fortune
overhauling the brakes, gearbox and engine in order for them to last throughout
the time it will be used as a bar (many years). It has not let me down once and
is very easy to drive with power steering, automatic gearbox and is possible to
drive on a standard UK car licence if you have the provision for 7.5ton (passed before 1997).
It has already covered over 1,000,000 miles around
the streets of London and I'm sure will do at least the same again!!! The body
is built from aluminium so will never rust.
The downstairs bar serves via the side of the bus
through 4x custom made lockable serving hatches and we normally use 4-6 staff to operate it at an

The bus is powered by a 240v ring main and armoured flex cable is provided with the bus.
I usually take my own generator
and the bus uses around 5kva when in full operation. Some venues will provide
their own power.
This is prime time of year to take on the bus as
although your main season is from March - October, all of the bookings for the
large events are about to take place in the new year. You can work through the winter at horse
racing fixtures, rugby matches, etc.
I can show invoices for £1,500 / day dry-hire where
you simply drop the bus off, they operate it and collect it when they're done.
In terms of achievable revenue, I have regulary
taken over £10,000 CASH on a day, could easily do a lot more! Also bare in mind
that events run for 2-5 days normally too.
We normally take around
£1,500-£2,000 / serving hour when busy.
You could easily make the bus pay for itself in its first season.
You may ask why am I getting rid of the bus if it
makes such a fortune?
Reason being that I am concentrating on my property
company and wish to have my summers back to myself!
It's a great business attending some fantastic events and meeting some great people.
Overall this really is a fantastic unit and always
receives a superb response wherever it's seen, with people stopping to take
pictures and asking to hire it for their event!
Any interested parties are more than welcome to
came and have a look at the bus for themselves where it is set up at my unit
near to Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
