Seller notes: This amp was sent to Marshall in 2008. It was asked of them to change the valves and transformer (read it in a guitar magazine at the time)Marshall dutifully yet hesitantly carried out the work under the instruction that i keep the Transformer and Valves as in future they might be needed if i wanted to sell the amp. In hind-sight i should have left these in as they haven't changed any of the amps dynamics at all but i was younger and dafter back then. Anyway i still have the original parts which i will include in the sale. Any questions please feel free to ask..

Instrument Amplifier

This was pulled by ebay as it contravened 's their selling rules because of the title which read 'message for details, quick sale needed'. Just getting it back up now.
Had a couple of people saying its not a plexi as it doesn't have the 'plexi' on the front and so i pulled the information below from the tinterweb. Have a read...

The Identification on the back of the amp reads SA 21561A (I HAD MISSED THE 'A' FROM THE END LAST TIME AND I THANK THE EAGLE EYED WATCHERS FOR BRINGING THIS TO MY ATTENTION) if you can't see it in the photo's. This can also be checked on line to validate when it was made.
Any questions please feel to ask. Great sounding Amp, only selling to fund a new vehicle and it is a reluctant sale :-/ This was up at 1500 but i do need to sell this quickly so i'll knock £200 off in hope that this does the trick

I have had this Head Verified by Marshall !!

The amplifiers from this era are easily identifiable by their acrylic glass (a.k.a. Plexiglas) front panel, which earned them the nickname "Plexi". These now have significant collectors' value. In 1967 Marshall released a 50 watt version of the 100 watt Superlead known as the 1987 Model. These were also called 50 watt Plexi's. The amplifiers from the 1970s onwards can be distinguished most easily by their brushed metal front panel. After 1973, to streamline production, labour-intensive handwiring was discontinued and Marshall valve amplifiers were switched to printed-circuit-board (PCBs). Much of the debate about the difference in tone between the plexi- and aluminium-panel Marshall amps comes from the fact that in 1974 Marshall's US distributor had them change all of the amps sold in the US and Japan over to the much more rugged Tung-Sol 6550 instead of the EL34 output tube, with a different sound
