This very rare old 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000-B1 LTD super bike has recently been imported from America where it has spent all its life. The air is thin, the climate & atmospheric conditions are far nicer than we struggle on with here in the UK & have helped this old girl keep her looks.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE LARGE PHOTO’s…. As you can see this bike is not quite complete missing just Mirrors, Centre stand assy & side panel badges. Sadly the tachometer glass is broken, both front & rear  master cylinders are in-op & naturally the battery is flat.

BUT ENOUGH OF ALL THIS NEGATIVITY !!!......Please have a good look at the pictures because this bike has a lot to offer – what is there is very original.

With the exception of the grab rail, R/h indicators & silencer which are scuffed the bright chrome is very nice….Mud guards, Head light, Hangers, clock bases, fuel cap, chain guard etc.

Cast alloy wheels are true with nice discs & calipers. Forks & yokes are straight with great alloy & chrome. All switches & clocks look great (not tested) and all the locks are on the same key. Tail light assy is also very good. Seat is very good throughout. The exhaust system is non standard 4:1 with rusty header pipes but again solid throughout – front to back. Shockers are clean & damping. All paint work is solid clean & presentable & the fuel tank is clean inside. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. The engine is cosmetically very clean & when boosted off a good battery & fed a few snorts of easy start onto the air filter starts & runs but the carbs will need cleaning as usual.

This is your chance to own this fantastic piece of Kawasaki Sports motorcycling history. The bike is going to make such a rewarding restoration – something you can really get your teeth into & well worth investing your time & brass on.

General Information

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We have got the original American title & certificates from Customs & Excise to prove we have paid VAT & duty, these will be provided with the bike with the official V55/5 forms for 1st registration application.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture. The American title will do this.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Take all this paper work to your local VRO (vehicle registration office), who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The VRO will give you a tax disc with your age related registration number.

Our used spares dept may carry items you need for this project, give them a call on 01782 862200, if parts are available they will be happy to list them on EBay so you can purchase.

Arrangements are to be made within five working days; we accept Building Society cheques/Bank draughts made out to DK Motorcycles, all major debit and credit cards as well as cash on collection. Credit card payments attract a 2% surcharge. Personal cheques allow 7 days to clear.

Delivery
UK delivery can be arranged at a cost of £1.20 per mile (min charge £30) and will be at our convenience. International delivery will be carried out by a freight company. Please contact us for a quote prior to bidding if delivery is needed.
