Here I have for sale my Series 3 Land Rover.   I've had it for 18 months and in that time I've transformed it from a low powered but thristy 2.25 petrol with skinny tyres to a 200tdi powered torque monster which is equally at home in a foot of mud or cruising the motorway at 70mph lugging heavy stuff around!      It's got a 200 tdi engine out of a Discovery fitted, using a Seat Ibiza intercooler and Disco rad and oil cooler.  It's got a 120000lb whinch fitted with wired and wireless controllers, will pull this out of axle deep mud no problem!  Its got a set of 4 265/75/16 Insa Turbo Special Tracks fitted to Weller steel wheels, which are absolutly brilliant in the mud and it also comes with a set of 205/80/16s fitted to standard Series wheels.   It's got the road tyres on at the moment as I've just come back from a 550 mile trip from south Wales, to London, then to Brighton and then back home.  It done it all with an engine hoist, engine and gear box in the back, averaging 30mpg and didn't put a foot wrong, didn't even need to top the fluids up before or after the trip.      It's got Range Rover diffs in it at the moment which makes it ideal for road use as the Series box is incredibly low geared, with the standard diffs 60mph was getting a bit noisey, with the RR diffs 75mph is achievable without too much comotion.   I can fit the series diffs back in if the new owner wishes but won't be able to offer both sets of diffs with the Landy.    The Landy used to be a van style but I found this gave poor rear visibility when off roading so I done a swap from a truck cab and Ifor Williams rear cannopy.    The truck cab is brilliant for all round visibility and with the Ifor Williams cannopy on the back its brilliant as a van.     Now as its a 4x4 toy/work horse it isn't going to win any concourse awards!  Theres dents and scrapes everywhere, the paint is never going to shine, the interior isn't too homely, the drivers door top has a crack in it allowing it to flap about at motorway speeds, theres no heaters as I own a wooly hat and scarf and besides... the air filters now in the way,  the gear box is stiff going in to gear and jumps out of 3rd on over run (been like this since I had it, but always worked, so if it aint broke, don't fix :-P).  The front foot wells have a few small holes in them but the chassis is in good condition, been welded before but to a good quality.  The brake servo isn't working too well, could just be a leaking pipe but it stops well enough, some Landys don't even come with Servo assisted brakes...   I made my own exhaust for it which is a side exit with no silencers,  not as loud as you'd think, not any more noticeable in the cab but makes a lovely noise as you drive passed people :-)  kind of like an 18 wheeler big rig!

The truck is in Port Talbot, South Wales, viewing is encouraged as afterall... it is a 30 year old Land Rover :-)
